Web Solutions is proud to be the recipient of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) donated by In A Heartbeat, a foundation dedicated to raising money and awareness for sudden cardiac arrest and Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, spreading the word about the importance of CPR and AEDs, and providing AEDs and emergency training to organizations.
People who have experienced sudden cardiac arrest and are treated with CPR and an AED, which sends an electric shock to the heart to try to restore its normal rhythm, have a survival rate of 31%, compared to around 10% for people treated with CPR alone.
Mike Papale, who founded In A Heartbeat after he experienced sudden cardiac arrest at age 17, came to Web Solutions to provide training on how to use the donated AED and answer questions from staff members about emergency procedures and the most up-to-date guidelines for performing CPR.
Web Solutions has been a supporter of In A Heartbeat since its founding in 2015, including developing a logo and a new website for the foundation.
Visit the In A Heartbeat website for more information or to request an AED donation.
