The Boys & Girls Club of Meriden was established as the Meriden Boys’ Club in 1888, making it one of the first of its kind in the country.

More than 130 years later, the Boys & Girls Club of Meriden offers a wide range of programs, activities, and summer camps for kids, including sports, technology, arts, education and career development, character and leadership, and health and life skills.

The Boys & Girls Club of Meriden was a current Web Solutions client with an existing website built in v2 of the Web Solutions Content Management System, including the Enrichment platform for online class registrations. They wanted an updated website, both to upgrade to the latest technology and to present a fresh, modern look to current and potential members.

“The new website for the Boys & Girls Club of Meriden is a fantastic way to get the word out about our programs, special events and things like weather-related closings,” said Milt Coon, Director of Resource Development, Boys & Girls Club of Meriden.

“It serves as a perfect communication tool where parents can sign their kids up for Cuno Camp or Camp BGC, learn more about our upcoming Summer Basketball League and Teen Dance Nights, as well as relaying info about our many after school enrichment offerings and our sports leagues.”

The website was built with the help of a financial contribution from the Cuno Foundation, which is also a Web Solutions client. “The generosity of the Cuno Foundation over the years has allowed the Boys & Girls Club of Meriden to serve tens of thousands of area Club Kids in myriad ways,” said Coon. “We are profoundly grateful for their partnership.”

“The efforts and support of the Cuno Foundation and Web Solutions have helped the Club to new heights of excellence! Our efforts would be far more modest and far less impactful if not for both Cuno Foundation and Web Solutions and their unwavering goodwill towards our youth.”
